Why we ask every brand where its clothes are made
Every brand on Threadline tells you where its pieces are made and from what. Here is why, and what we check.
Before a brand opens its shop on Threadline, we ask three questions: where are the pieces made, from what, and by whom.
What we check
- The workshops, by name and town
- The fibres, and where they come from
- What happens to unsold pieces and offcuts
What you see
Each brand page says where it makes its clothes and what it stands for: organic cotton, small batches, free repairs, upcycling.
